Miniature Railway has been a popular draw card for families of the
local district since its opening. The towns Rotary Club and members
of The South Western Model Engineers are mainly responsible for
this enjoyable attraction which is located in Grayland Street, opposite
the Cobden Technical School and near the Go-Kart track. The railway has
been constructed on land which was originally used as a racecourse.
. . .
The Cobden community, and local groups took up the chance to build the
fantastic facilities that are here now. The venue has become popular for
birthday parties, group events, kindergardens and community activities.
Miniature steam trains run around the circuit which includes a pedestrian
bridge, Track cross-over, signal station, flower gazebos and dams. There
are two stations as well as tea rooms, ample parking, public toilets
and under cover picnic facilities.
