Bookaar Family Fun Day, Organized by the South West District Restoration Group Inc. Held during March. Aircraft and Glider Joy Flights, Vintage Vehicles & Machinery, Steam & Oil Engines, Working Demonstrations & Static Displays, Country & Western Entertainment, Pipe & Brass Bands, Craft Stalls, Entertainment For kids, BBQ Luncheon and Refreshments Available, Line Dancing, Working Draught Horses and Model Trains. Camperdown Pastoral and Agricultural Show Fun for all the family with entertainment, rides, displays, showgirl contests, horse, cattle and dog competitions. Held on the last weekend in November. The
Horse Trials attract hundreds of people from throughout Victoria, South
Australia and New South Wales who travel to Camperdown each April for a
weekend of equestrian events including dressage, cross country and show
jumping. The spectacular venue at the Lakes Recreation Park provides excellent
vantage points for spectators to witness exciting competition between Australia's
top riders and Olympians.
Hill
climbs are organised by the Ford Four Car Club and are held regularly during
the year on a narrow winding course up Mount Leura which is recognised
as one of Australia's best tracks.
